Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our hand-forged metals and craftsmanship.
How do I determine my correct size for a cuff or ring?
We provide a comprehensive sizing guide on each product page. For cuffs, measure the circumference of your wrist snugly; for rings, we recommend using a standard ring sizer or visiting a local jeweler to ensure the most accurate fit before ordering.
What is the typical lead time for handcrafted items?
Since each piece is hand-forged to order in our Pittsburgh workshop, please allow 7 to 10 business days for production before your item ships. During peak holiday seasons, these lead times may extend slightly.
Will these metals turn my skin green?
We use high-quality brass, copper, and sterling silver. While pure copper and brass can react with skin acidity to create a harmless green mark, this can be minimized by keeping your jewelry dry and clean. Our sterling silver and gold options do not cause this reaction.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we ship our metalwork globally. Shipping costs and delivery timelines are calculated at checkout based on your destination. Please note that international customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes.
Can I return or exchange a custom-sized piece?
Because our items are made-to-order, we generally do not accept returns. However, we do offer a one-time resize or exchange for a different style within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is in its original, unworn condition.
How should I care for and clean my Studebaker Metals jewelry?
To maintain the finish, avoid contact with harsh chemicals or saltwater. You can restore the original shine using a polishing cloth, or allow the piece to develop a unique natural patina over time for a rugged, lived-in look.
